The IC-38 (Insurance Agents — Life) examination is conducted by the Insurance Institute of India under IRDA guidelines. It is mandatory for anyone who wants to become a licensed insurance agent in India.

Take at least 5 mock tests before the exam. This helps you understand the question format and time management.
Tip 4: Hindi Medium is Easier
If you are comfortable in Hindi, choose the Hindi medium exam. The questions are simpler to understand in Hindi.
Exam Day Tips
- Carry your Aadhaar Card or any valid photo ID
- Reach the exam center 30 minutes early

After Passing
Once you pass, your Development Officer will process your license application. Within 7-15 days, you will receive your official IRDA Agent License and can start selling policies immediately.
